Appliances with refrigerant, like refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers and window AC units, need special handling before disposal. Mention them when you call or text so we can plan for it. The York County Resource Recovery Center removes Freon from refrigerant appliances it accepts.

Most appliances are mostly metal, so they get recycled rather than landfilled whenever we can.
We do the heavy part
